In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. Your expertise will ensure that fire suppression systems are installed according to safety standards and technical specifications, providing vital protection for communities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in pipefitting, welding, and system installation. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to the safety and success of each project. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings related to fire sprinkler systems Install piping networks using various methods including pipe threading, soldering, and pipe welding (TIG, MIG, FCAW, Stick) in compliance with NFPA standards and ASME codes Fabricate pipe sections and components through cutting, bending (tube bending), and assembly to meet project specifications Fit and secure sprinkler pipes and components using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing fire sprinkler systems to ensure optimal operation Follow safety regulations rigorously during all phases of installation and maintenance activities Interpret technical drawings accurately to ensure precise placement of piping and sprinkler heads on construction sites Requirements Proven experience in pipefitting, pipe welding (TIG, MIG, FCAW, Stick), and fabrication within construction environments Strong mechanical knowledge related to sprinkler system components and installation techniques Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings with confidence Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading equipment, tube benders, and other fabrication tools Knowledge of NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association) for fire sprinkler systems as well as ASME codes & standards for piping Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical specifications Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence and hazard awareness Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating with team members Valid experience with pipeline installation, soldering techniques, calipers use, and pipe welding processes Join us in creating safer environments through expert fire sprinkler fitting!
