A Pipe Fitter installs and repairs pipe systems in commercial or industrial and manufacturing structures, such as pipes for heating and cooling systems. Works on pipes that carry gas, sprinkler systems, or pipes that carry steam under pressure.
We have an immediate opening for a skilled Pipefitter. You will fabricate, install, and repair piping, refrigeration equipment, and other fluid system structures. After installation, you will inspect and test each piping section to ensure there are no leaks and the piping is secure. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of professional experience. Carbon, Copper, PVC, and Stainless Steel Pipe Welding Certs are a plus.
Requirements:
Pipefitter Duties and Responsibilities Review project drawings to understand scope and timeline Measure sections and order materials needed Prefab, Braze, Soldering and PVC. Install piping or tubing segments securely with welding or other equipment Perform trial runs and tests on pipe systems to ensure there are no leaks or weak points Repair and reinforce broken, cracked, or inadequate systems or pipes Measures, marks, and records openings and distances to lay out areas where work will be performed Must perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, legs, and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials Adherence to all safety requirements, including but not limited to proper PPE, work area, and equipment Pipefitter Requirements and Qualifications Current state pipefitter license, if you have one 1+ years of experience as a pipefitter preferred Proficient with manual and power tools, including measuring instruments Attention to detail Must be able to work OT as needed, including Saturdays and Sundays Must be able to pass a drug screen Must have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to function as part of a team Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations about piping systems is a plus Must be able to travel out of town for periods up to two weeks.
