$41.00•$45.00 per hour Job Summary Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join a facilities operations team supporting a large-scale manufacturing environment in Wilton, Connecticut. This is a hands-on, multi-trade position responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of piping systems supporting critical facility and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will work with PVC, copper, stainless steel, and carbon steel piping and support systems including steam, chilled water, process chilled water, compressed air, nitrogen, domestic water, and HVAC infrastructure. While pipefitting is the primary focus, this position will also assist with other facility maintenance and mechanical activities as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to safety are essential. Key Responsibilities Install, modify, maintain, and repair facility piping systems. Work with PVC, copper, stainless steel, and carbon steel piping. Cut, thread, bend, groove, fabricate, and assemble piping systems according to drawings and specifications. Perform soldering and brazing of copper piping and fittings. Install and repair valves, regulators, pumps, heat exchangers, strainers, and other piping components. Troubleshoot piping, flow, pressure, temperature, and equipment performance issues. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility utility systems. Support steam distribution systems, boilers, and condensate return systems. Maintain chilled water and process chilled water systems. Service and maintain compressed air systems. Support nitrogen and other industrial gas distribution systems. Work with domestic water systems and related piping. Assist with maintenance and repairs on chillers, cooling systems, boilers, and associated equipment. Assist HVAC technicians with piping-related repairs and hydronic systems. Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, isometric drawings, schematics, and specifications. Perform leak testing, pressure testing, system flushing, and commissioning activities. Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities using CMMS software. Coordinate with facility engineers, maintenance personnel, contractors, and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime. Assist with additional mechanical and facility maintenance activities as assigned. Follow all applicable safety procedures, including LOTO, hot work permits, confined-space requirements, and facility-specific safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications Valid Pipefitter License or Journeyman Pipefitter Certification as required by applicable state or local regulations. High school diploma or GED. Minimum 5 years of industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or facilities pipefitting experience.

Steam systems Chilled water systems Process water systems Compressed air systems Industrial gas systems, preferably nitrogen Hydronic systems HVAC piping Proven experience with soldering and brazing copper piping. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and mechanical specifications. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Working knowledge of applicable plumbing, mechanical, and building codes. Proficiency with pipefitting tools, threading equipment, fabrication equipment, and testing instruments. Ability to work safely around active manufacturing equipment and critical facility systems. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and respond effectively to changing maintenance needs. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a licensed Journeyman Pipefitter with strong industrial or facilities experience who can independently install, troubleshoot, and maintain complex piping and utility systems.
