Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Underground Pipe Layer to join our civil construction team. This position involves installing underground utilities including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems on commercial and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Install underground pipe (water, sewer, storm) per plans and specifications Set grade, slope, and alignment using laser levels and grade stakes Work safely in trenches and around heavy equipment Assist with trench preparation, bedding, backfill, and compaction Follow all safety procedures and site-specific requirements Work as part of a crew under the direction of a foreman

Qualifications:

Prior experience in underground utility or civil construction preferred Ability to read basic plans and grade stakes preferred Knowledge of pipe materials (PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, concrete) Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Work Schedule Full-time position, approximately 50 hours per week Overtime pay after 40 hours Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, vision, life insurance and other supplementals Paid holidays and PTO CBC Construction is an
