Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pipefitter to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems used in various industrial, commercial, and residential projects. Your expertise in pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and interpreting technical drawings will ensure the safe and efficient assembly of piping infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, mechanical knowledge, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine pipe layout and installation procedures. Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install pipes using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment in accordance with ASME codes & standards. Perform welding operations including MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and pipe welding to join pipes securely while adhering to NFPA standards and safety regulations. Fabricate pipe components by cutting, bending (tube bending), soldering, and assembling pipe sections for various systems such as fire sprinkler systems or pipeline networks. Install piping systems on construction sites with precision while following safety protocol adherence and construction site safety guidelines. Maintain equipment by inspecting tools like power tools and hand tools; ensure all are used safely according to safety regulations. Conduct routine maintenance of piping systems post-installation to ensure optimal performance and compliance with ASME standards. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings accurately and execute installation tasks efficiently. Experience Proven experience in pipefitting within construction or industrial environments with a strong understanding of pipe installation techniques. Hands-on experience with welding processes including MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and pipe welding in accordance with industry standards. Knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and construction plans is essential. Familiarity with pipe threading, fabrication techniques, tube bending, soldering, and assembly of piping systems. Mechanical knowledge related to pipeline systems, sprinkler systems (fire sprinkler fitting), and general construction site experience is highly desirable. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely while following all safety regulations including NFPA standards for fire protection systems. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting projects are required.
