GLO Resources is currently hiring Pipe Layers in Vero Beach, FL . Pay ranges from $25-$30 per hour. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, with occasional weekend work available. Per diem is available for qualifying applicants.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience installing underground piping systems, particularly sanitary sewer systems, and a solid understanding of trenching, grade, alignment, and pipe connections. Candidates should be able to work safely and effectively as part of a construction crew while meeting project specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Install underground pipes for sanitary sewer systems according to project specifications. Prepare and maintain trenches for pipe installation. Ensure proper pipe grade, alignment, and connections. Seal pipe joints to ensure proper and secure connections. Perform backfilling and assist with proper material placement. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications. Work closely with equipment operators and other crew members. Follow all applicable safety standards and procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Pipe Layer or in underground utility construction. Experience with sanitary sewer pipe installation. Knowledge of proper pipe grade and alignment. Experience with trenching and excavation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans. Ability to work effectively with equipment operators and construction crews. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Must be able to pass a drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting. Regular standing, walking, and manual handling of materials. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to work in and around trenches and excavation areas. Ability to handle a physically demanding workload and meet project deadlines.
