Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced, skilled and motivated Service Pipefitter to join our retro fit mechanical contracting company. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing , maintaining and repairing piping systems during Boiler, Chiller, Cooling Tower and process piping replacements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your technical skills and foster professional growth. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems. Measure, cut, thread, solder, and weld pipes using various hand tools and power tools, including MIG, Tig and stick welding Install HVAC piping, to ASME codes & standards. Rig and position pipes securely using rigging equipment for precise assembly on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Perform pipe bending, threading, soldering, and assembly tasks with precision to ensure optimal fit and function. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems to prevent leaks or failures. Read complex schematics and mechanical drawings to identify specifications for pipe routing and system layout. Utilize calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to verify dimensions during installation. Support safety protocols by adhering to construction site safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Pipefitter in construction sites or manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of pipe installation techniques. Skilled in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, soldering, pipe threading, tube bending, and <

> welding methods. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, ASME codes & standards, and mechanical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing infrastructure, pipeline installation, rigging procedures, and maintenance practices. Proficiency with hand tools such as calipers, pipe cutters, threaders; power tools including drills and grinders; and safety equipment. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting projects. Construction site experience with an emphasis on safety compliance and teamwork. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot installation issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and project managers.
