Pipe Welder/Fitter Posted on September 2, 2026 September 2, 2026 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pipe Welder/Fitter to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair piping systems in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate has experience interpreting blueprints, performing precision welding and fitting, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality. Position Responsibilities Pipe Fabrication & Fitting Measure, cut, fit, and assemble piping systems according to specifications. Prepare pipes, fittings, and components for installation and welding. Verify alignment and proper fit before final assembly. Welding Operations Perform high-quality pipe welding using approved welding processes. Ensure welds meet quality, safety, and code requirements. Inspect completed welds and make necessary repairs when required. Installation & Maintenance Install new piping systems and modify existing systems as needed. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on piping equipment. Support equipment shutdowns, upgrades, and maintenance projects. Blueprint Interpretation Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and piping schematics. Follow engineering specifications and work instructions accurately. Verify measurements and material requirements before fabrication. Safety & Quality Follow all workplace safety procedures and applicable industry standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Participate in quality inspections and continuous improvement initiatives. Team Collaboration Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams. Communicate project status and potential issues effectively. Support other maintenance and fabrication activities as required. Prerequisites High school diploma or equivalent. Experience as a Pipe Welder, Pipe Fitter, or in a related industrial or manufacturing role. Ability to read blueprints, piping diagrams, and technical drawings. Experience with industrial welding techniques and fabrication equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required) AWS (American Welding Society) Welding Certification. ASME Pipe Welding Certification. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. NCCER Pipefitting Certification.
