LOCATION

This position requires frequent travel to project sites across the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS).

Hourly Range:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour + per diem

ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Mechanical Foreman to supervise a crew while performing various day‐to‐day tasks required in the field construction of aboveground storage tanks and/or mechanical fuel systems, including but not limited to executing any other general labor tasks as assigned.

Job Functions:

Supervise and assist and workers in their performance of assigned duties Ensure equipment is inspected and maintained in proper working condition Read and properly interpret engineering construction drawings Conduct daily safety meetings (JHAs) when needed Follow all safety rules, recognize and report safety hazards Plan work as assigned and select proper tools Follow welding specifications Assist with hanging iron and fitting pipe Operate automatic welding equipment (if qualified)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

High School diploma or GED 5+ years of relevant pipe fitting experience Must be able to pass the required weld test (SMAW/FCAW in all positions) Must be able to fit structural plate and piping Must have a working knowledge of AWS, API, ANSI, and ASME codes and standards Experience in the petroleum system construction/repair industry Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and written instructions Must be able to troubleshoot and have a strong attention to detail Must have physical dexterity Must be able to understand, read and write in English Must be able to work in elevated areas Must be willing to travel Must have a valid driver's license Must obtain a TWIC card Must be able to obtain and maintain access to U.S. military installations, including successfully passing a drug screen and back ground check in compliance with federal regulation
