!!!Do not apply if you cannot pass a pipe fitting takeoff test!!! Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pipefitter Lead to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. In this pivotal role, you will oversee pipefitting operations, lead a team of skilled tradespeople, and ensure that all piping systems are installed, maintained, and repaired in strict accordance with industry standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will drive project success, uphold quality standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate pipefitting activities on construction sites or manufacturing facilities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install piping systems according to specifications. Perform Smaw welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and other welding techniques to join pipes securely while maintaining ASME codes & standards. Conduct pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and assembly tasks with precision using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment. Inspect piping systems for leaks or defects using schematics, basic math calculations, and mechanical knowledge; troubleshoot issues proactively. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to fire sprinkler fitting, HVAC systems, pipeline installation, plumbing maintenance, and other specialized areas. Supervise team members by providing guidance on best practices in construction, manufacturing, or maintenance environments; promote a culture of safety and quality. Must be able to sweep the floor the same as fit pipe Must have a good attitude toward work and a willingness to stay busy Skills Must be able to pull your own measurements and build pipe from your own isos. Majority PNID piping Strong blueprint reading skills combined with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pipe threading, soldering, tube bending, assembly processes, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing piping systems Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and material estimations; experience with calipers is preferred. Construction site experience with rigging procedures; capable of working safely at heights or in confined spaces as required. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to plumbing or pipeline systems; experience in maintenance roles is a plus. Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour
