Job Description
Pipe Layer Gregory Construction is seeking experienced Pipe Layers to support large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects. Our sanitary and storm pipe work consists primarily of buried gravity pipe , not mechanical piping. Pipe is installed on grade using a pipe laser to maintain proper elevation, grade, and alignment. Key Responsibilities Install sanitary and storm gravity pipe according to project plans and specifications. Set and maintain proper pipe grade, elevation, and alignment using a pipe laser. Assist with trench preparation, bedding, pipe placement, and backfilling. Connect and properly align pipe sections, fittings, and structures. Read and understand construction plans and pipe elevations. Perform basic measurements and layout for underground pipe installation. Work safely around excavation and trenching operations. Communicate effectively with equipment operators, foremen, and other crew members. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all Gregory Construction safety and quality requirements. Qualifications Previous experience as a Pipe Layer, Underground Utility Installer, or similar position preferred. Experience installing sanitary sewer and/or storm drainage pipe preferred. Ability to understand pipe grades, elevations, and alignment. Experience using a pipe laser is preferred. Ability to work safely in and around trenches and excavation. Ability to work as part of a construction crew. Willingness to travel based on project requirements. Training may be available for qualified candidates with a strong construction background.
