In this role, you will be responsible for testing, installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems across various residential, commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise in pipefitting and system assembly will ensure that fire suppression systems are installed and inspected safely, efficiently, and in strict accordance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your technical skills and contributing to safety in the built environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install fire sprinkler systems. Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment. Fabricate components as needed for system installation, ensuring adherence to ASME codes & standards and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards. Install sprinkler piping systems using proper rigging techniques while following safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols. Conduct system testing, soldering, calibration, and maintenance of installed fire sprinkler systems to ensure optimal performance. Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, inspection reports, and compliance with safety regulations throughout each project. Experience Proven experience in sprinkler fitting within the construction or manufacturing sectors. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to fire sprinkler systems. Familiarity with NFPA standards for fire protection systems and ASME codes & standards for piping fabrication. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely, including calipers for precise measurements. Experience with construction site safety practices including rigging and power tool safety procedures.
