ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Install, set up, and calibrate lasers and other survey equipment Shovel, rake, transfer, grade materials such as dirt and stone Drive, mark, remove or replace grade stakes Measure and mark grades using rulers, levels, strings, or lasers Secure utility devices using straps, ropes or chains Utilize saws, torches and cutting devices Apply cement, glue and other adhesives Operate tampers, rollers or other compaction devices Other duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of tools, materials, methods and techniques for pipe laying Ability to interpret plans and stakes Communication skills, ability to comprehend instruction
