3 years (Preferred) Job description: The successful candidate will have an extensive Pipe welding and pipe fitting background experience. They must have their AWS Pipe certifications or be able to pass upon being hired. Candidates will be assessed in our shop on their welding and fitting capabilities prior to being hired. They must be Proficient in measuring materials with print reading desirable. Experience with Copper and threaded pipe along with stainless steel are skills sets desired but not required for this role. Reliable, dependable workers with attention to detail and the ability to follow direction, who are interested in a long-term career in the commercial construction industry are encouraged to apply. This role will be directly on-site for any/all piping needs to meet project specifications. Safe work practices, efficiency, professional & interpersonal skills are required to properly represent ABM Mechanical Inc. to customers, vendors, and other contractors in an ethical and professional manner. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively. Must possess a valid Maine driver's license. Some state-wide travel may be expected based on workload. The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, within a diverse team is very important. Must be able to read, write, and understand technical specifications, manufacturer's documentation, engineering and building plans. Must be able to communicate effectively with engineers, customers, end-users, and all building trades. Must be able to safely access construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other areas where equipment might be. Other duties as assigned. Wage commensurate with experience and licensing.
