Crane Technician

Job Description Crane Technicians Royal Arc is seeking a self-driven, team player, hardworking Crane Technicians. Candidates with a positive attitude who are willing to be trained/learn the industry. Troubleshoot cranes, grow sales in the area, work and repair cranes and hoists. The candidate should have an electrical/mechanical aptitude at a minimum. •Experience in the overhead crane industry, experience in motor controls, 3 phase motors, 460 to 480 volts is a plus. • Able to travel overnight and up to 2 weeks if needed, is plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Perform skilled task in the inspections, repair and maintenance of crane, hoists and other material handling equipment. Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls-magnetic and variable frequency drives. Responsible safe operations of the crane and company equipment Document findings and make corrective recommendations for the equipment, determine customer's intentions to purchase repairs and advise the branch office of actions necessary to sell or complete repairs, to include other work they may what done. Responsible for being able to complete and write out/type service reports and other daily work forms. Pending job positions & location - be able to travel long distance and stay overnight or up to a week or two (This all depends on the job position) Skills and Knowledge Strong communication skills, written and verbal Ability to work both in an individual and team environment Proficient in computer skills Resourceful in getting the job done Clean Driving Record Clean Criminal Background Work Environment Considerations Work various environments and working conditions, depending on assignment Working at heights from 6 ft. to 120 ft.
