Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Machine Tool Pipefitter to assemble, route, and troubleshoot pneumatic systems for custom automation equipment. In this role, you will work from engineering schematics to build pneumatic circuits and collaborate closely with cross-functional trade teams to ensure proper machine operation and startup.
Key Responsibilities Assembly & Installation:
Route, size, cut, bend, and connect pneumatic tubing, piping, hoses, and air lines on custom automated machinery.
Circuit Building:
Build and install pneumatic circuits using valves, regulators, cylinders, actuators, manifolds, and related air-control components, ensuring accessibility and cleanliness.
Schematic Reading:
Read and interpret pneumatic schematics, air logic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and assembly prints according to engineering specifications.
Troubleshooting & Debugging:
Identify leaks, pressure issues, improper sequencing, and component failures; troubleshoot air logic systems during machine startup and commissioning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Machine Builders, Electricians, and Controls Engineers to integrate pneumatic systems and make performance adjustments.
Quality & Safety:
Inspect completed builds for compliance with engineering requirements and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Pipefitter, Pneumatic Technician, Machine Pipefitter, or in a similar skilled-trade role. Must have strong hands-on expertise with pneumatic systems, air logic, and circuit troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret pneumatic schematics, mechanical drawings, and build documentation. High mechanical aptitude using common hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
