Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a General Laborer Pipe Layer and be a vital part of installing essential utility systems that keep communities connected and functioning smoothly. In this role, you will work hands-on with heavy equipment, interpret technical drawings, and assist in the installation of underground utilities such as sewer lines, water supply systems, stormwater management, and wastewater systems. Duties Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to assist in trenching and pipe installation projects Follow blueprint specifications accurately to ensure proper placement of underground utilities such as sanitary drainage systems and sewer lines Assist in construction trenching activities for utility installations while adhering to safety regulations and project plans Use hand tools and pipe lasers to ensure precise alignment and secure connections of pipes for water supply, sewer, and stormwater systems Locate underground utilities using utility locating equipment to prevent damage during excavation activities Support concrete finishing, forming, and related tasks for infrastructure components when required Follow all federal construction safety regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times Requirements Prior experience with construction site work, pipeline installation, or utility trenching is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates Ability to operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks safely and effectively Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings related to sewer line installation and underground utilities is highly desirable Familiarity with construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocol guidelines is essential Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions Basic understanding of plumbing, concrete forming, welding, or oil & gas industry practices is a plus Willingness to learn new skills related to utility system installation projects including stormwater systems and wastewater management Join us in building vital infrastructure that supports communities!
