Build your future with a respected heavy civil team delivering critical underground infrastructure across Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas. In this Underground Utility Pipelayer opportunity, you'll help install, align, join, and backfill water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems while working safely in fast-paced field conditions. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Underground Utility Pipelayer position include: 1-3 years of pipelaying or underground utilities experience (entry-level with vocational training may be considered). Prepare trench bottoms and bedding material to specified grade, slope, and compaction requirements. Lay and assemble pipe sections (PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, steel, concrete) using applicable joining methods. Align pipe using laser levels, transit/level, grade rods, and stringlines to meet design tolerances. Install and construct manholes, catch basins, cleanouts, service laterals, valves, and fittings. Backfill and compact bedding and trench backfill to required densities; restore surface per specifications. Operate or work with equipment such as excavator, backhoe, loader, trench box, and vacuum truck. Follow OSHA safety standards, trench/shoring/confined space procedures, and maintain daily records.
Salary:
$20-$28/hour (DOE) with overtime opportunities based on project demands.
