Job Overview
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
We are seeking an experienced Sewer, Water, and Storm Pipe Layer to join our dynamic construction team. This vital role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining underground utility systems with precision and efficiency. As a Pipe Layer, you will work on utility trenching projects, interpret technical drawings, and operate heavy equipment to ensure the successful installation of sewer lines, water supply systems, stormwater systems, and underground utilities. Your expertise will help build resilient infrastructure that supports communities and enhances public health and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Duties Install and repair sewer, water, and stormwater piping systems according to construction plans and blueprint specifications Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and move materials efficiently Follow all safety regulations including federal construction safety standards and site-specific safety protocols during all phases of work Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately lay out pipe routes and ensure proper installation alignment Utilize utility locating tools to identify underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents Perform construction trenching with proper shoring techniques to maintain safe working conditions Conduct concrete finishing, pipe laser alignment, welding, and concrete forming as needed for pipe bedding and connections Install sanitary drainage systems, sewer lines, water supply systems, and stormwater infrastructure with precision Use hand tools for pipe fitting, cutting, joining, and sealing connections in accordance with project specifications Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance documentation Experience Proven experience in heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks within construction or utility installation projects Strong knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, underground utilities installation, and pipeline construction Skilled in reading construction plans and blueprints accurately for utility system installation projects Familiarity with utility trenching techniques following safety regulations and best practices for underground utility installation Ability to interpret technical drawings related to plumbing, pipeline layouts, oil & gas infrastructure or similar industries Prior experience working on construction site projects involving sewer line installation or underground utility installation is highly preferred Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations applicable to heavy equipment operation and trenching activities Competency in welding techniques related to piping connections is a plus but not mandatory Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in team environments while adhering strictly to safety protocols Join us in building essential infrastructure that powers communities! Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
