Job Summary:
As a Pipe Layer you will need to install underground utilities on heavy civil and utility projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety during pipe installation. You will have the opportunity to: Install storm, sanitary, and water main pipe per plans and specifications Set line and grade using lasers, levels, and grade stakes Prepare trench bedding and ensure proper compaction Install fittings, manholes, and structures Work safely in trenching and shoring systems Coordinate with foremen, operators, and laborers Verify work meets quality and inspection requirements Maintain a clean and safe work area
Requirements & Experience:
Proven experience as a Pipe Layer in utility or heavy civil construction Ability to read and understand civil plans and grades Knowledge of trench safety and utility installation standards Strong attention to detail and workmanship Safety-focused and team-oriented mindset
•Must be able to commute to Charlotte, NC 28203 Pay Range (DOE): $24 - 30/hourly pay
•Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location
