Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Plumbing Technician specializing in underground and site utilities to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining complex plumbing systems on commercial construction sites. Your expertise will ensure the successful execution of underground piping, utility connections, and site plumbing infrastructure, supporting large-scale projects from start to finish. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain underground plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage, and sewer connections for commercial sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts. Operate power tools, hand tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for underground utility installation while adhering to safety standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure plumbing work aligns with project specifications and schedules. Conduct inspections of installed systems to verify proper function and compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Assist with remodeling or assembly tasks as needed on construction sites or during retrofit projects. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during installation or repairs. Skills Strong knowledge of construction practices with a focus on commercial plumbing systems and underground utilities. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing and mechanical systems. Experience with welding techniques relevant to pipe joining and utility connections. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and HVAC-related equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of schematics and system layouts for plumbing infrastructure. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work essential for precise installations. Familiarity with carpentry principles useful for framing or supporting utility structures during installation. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for site access or material transport purposes. Handyman experience or remodeling background beneficial for versatile project support across different trades.
