Job Description

Position Overview Penguin Plumbing Heating and Cooling is seeking a skilled and dependable Excavation Install Specialist to join our field service team. This position is responsible for assisting with excavation, underground plumbing installations, repairs, replacements, and restoration work while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship. Key Responsibilities Perform excavation work for underground plumbing and utility installations. Install, repair, and replace underground water and sewer lines. Operate excavation and trenching equipment safely and efficiently. Locate and identify existing underground utilities before excavation. Prepare trenches and work areas for plumbing installations. Assist plumbers and technicians with underground piping projects. Measure, cut, connect, and secure piping according to project specifications. Inspect completed installations for proper alignment and functionality. Backfill and restore excavation areas after completing installations. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, technicians, and customers. Qualifications Previous excavation, plumbing, construction, or utility experience preferred. Familiarity with underground piping systems is an advantage. Ability to operate excavation equipment safely. Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to follow instructions, read basic measurements, and work independently. Strong attention to safety and detail. Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude. Work Environment:
Field-based position requiring outdoor work, excavation, lifting, bending, and extended periods on job sites.
Pay:
$27.47 - $32.09 per hour
