Position Overview We are hiring experienced Pipefitters for data center construction projects. This role involves installing large-diameter pipe systems including C900 (polypipe) and ductile iron pipe (36"-48") for cooling water systems, chilled water distribution, and mechanical infrastructure in data center facilities. Data center experience helpful but not required - we'll train the right candidate.
What You'll Do Pipe Installation:
Install C900 (polypipe) for underground and aboveground applications Install ductile iron pipe (36"-48" diameter) for cooling water systems Install large-diameter pipe for chilled water, condenser water, and process water systems Fit, align, and connect pipe sections using appropriate methods Install pipe supports, hangers, and anchors Ensure proper pitch, alignment, and grade per specifications
Fabrication & Assembly:
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe as needed Fabricate pipe assemblies and components Install flanges, gaskets, and mechanical couplings Assemble valves, fittings, and piping accessories Use hand tools and power tools for pipe preparation
Layout & Reading Drawings:
Read and interpret piping drawings and isometric diagrams Lay out pipe runs per specifications Identify and locate piping systems on project site Follow installation specifications and sequences
Testing & Quality:
Perform hydrostatic testing and pressure testing Check for leaks and make necessary repairs Ensure proper installation per code requirements Maintain quality standards throughout installation
General Duties:
Work as part of a crew under foreman supervision Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely Communicate with foreman on progress and issues

Required Qualifications Experience:
4+ years pipefitting experience (required) Experience with large-diameter pipe (24" and larger) (required) C900 (polypipe) installation experience (required) Ductile iron pipe experience (required) Industrial, commercial, or construction pipefitting background
Skills:
Ability to install large-diameter pipe systems (36"-48") Proficient in pipe fitting, alignment, and connection methods Experience with mechanical couplings and flanged connections Ability to read piping drawings and isometrics Knowledge of pipe supports and hanging systems Pressure testing and hydrostatic testing experience Understanding of piping codes and standards
Requirements:
Valid driver's license Own basic hand tools (tool list provided upon hire) Reliable transportation to job sites Ability to pass background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications Journeyman Pipefitter license Apprentice pipefitter (any year) Data center construction experience Chilled water system experience Industrial or power plant piping experience Welding certification (helpful but not required) OSHA 10 certification Forklift or equipment operation certification
