Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pipe Layer to join our construction team and contribute to the successful installation of underground utility systems. In this role, you will be responsible for laying pipes for water supply, sanitary drainage, stormwater management, and wastewater systems, ensuring all work aligns with construction plans and safety regulations. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, blueprint reading, and utility trenching will be vital in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects efficiently and safely. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, and offroad trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately follow specifications for utility trenching and pipe placement Install underground utilities including sanitary sewers, water supply systems, stormwater systems, and wastewater pipelines according to project requirements Use pipe lasers and other precision tools to ensure proper alignment and elevation of pipes during installation Perform concrete finishing tasks related to utility structures and pipe supports as needed Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents Follow all safety protocols in accordance with federal construction safety regulations during heavy equipment operation and trenching activities Qualifications Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on pipe laying or utility installation projects Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, and offroad trucks Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and construction plans related to underground utilities Skilled in utility trenching, sewer line installation, pipeline placement, and underground utilities installation Familiarity with safety regulations including federal construction safety standards and safety protocol adherence Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and follow detailed specifications for pipe installation projects Experience with concrete forming, welding, hand tools usage, and waste management practices on construction sites is a plus Join our team to help build essential infrastructure that supports communities! Pay:
