Performallinstallation,repairandmaintenanceworkofrefrigerationandair-conditioningequipment,includingcoldroomsandtropicroomstosimulateextremeconditionsofcoldandheatandotheratmosphericconditionsfortestpurposes.
Installandmaintainsteamandhotwaterheatingsystems,highpressuresteamline,sprinklersystemsandpipingsystemsforair,oil,gas,paint,acids,solvents,etc.,includingpumpandcollectors.
Cutthreads,bend,file,burr,reamandinstallpipes,couplings,unions,elbows,flanges,valves,etc.
Workwithcastiron,brass,stainlesssteel,andothertypesofmetalpiping,valves,trapsandvessels.
Usealltypesofpipefitters,toolsincludingtaps,portablepowerpipethreaders,gastorches,hacksaws,drills,benders,etc.
Layout,installandrepairallplantplumbingsystems,includingtoilets,showersanddrinkingfountains,accordingtounderwritersandmunicipalstandards.
Locate,diagnoseandcorrectplumbingtroubles.
Mayberequiredtohandle/managehazardouswastefromtimetotime.
Requirements:
Musthavehighschooldiplomaorequivalent(GED).
Mustbeatleast18yearsofageorolder.
Musthavecompletedanapprenticeshipprogramorhave8yearsofdocumentedexperienceinthetrade.
MusthaveHVACmaintenance/repairexperience;HVACcertificationpreferred.
MustbeU.S.citizen.
Mustbeabletoobtain/maintainsecurityclearance.
Usealltradetoolsandequipmentincludingpipecutters,threaders,benders,solderingirons,hacksaws,blowtorches,'snakes',caulkingtools,etc.,andworkwithvarioustypesofmetallic,vitreousandplasticmaterials.
Musthaveabilitytoreadandworkfromblueprints.
Mustbeabletosuccessfullycompletethepre-employmentprocessincludingdrugscreenandbackgroundcheck.
MustobtainDepartmentofArmyPoliceunescortedaccess.
Musthavecurrentstatedriver'slicenseinorderobtainin-plantlicensestooperatemotorizedvehicleincludingmanlifts,forklifts,etc.
