Dovin Landworks is a fully licensed and insured land-development and excavation company serving residential, commercial and industrial projects across northern Ohio. We handle everything from demolition, land clearing, site prep, grading and underground utilities to driveways, forestry mulching and concrete work.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, hard-working Laborer / Pipelayer to join our civil construction crew. This position plays a key role in commercial site development projects, supporting utility installation, grading, and general site work. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and ready to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with installation of underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm systems Perform trench work: digging, shoring, backfilling, and compacting Set and align pipe, check grades, and assist operators during excavation Support site prep activities such as grading, clearing, and erosion control Load/unload materials, tools, and equipment; maintain organized job sites Use hand tools (shovels, rakes, levels, lasers, compactors, etc.) safely and effectively Follow all safety procedures, including trench safety and PPE requirements Work closely with foreman and operators to keep projects moving efficiently Maintain a strong work ethic, show up on time, and contribute to a team-oriented crew Qualifications /

Requirements:

Experience in underground utilities, excavation, or civil site work preferred Knowledge of pipe installation, grade checking, and trench safety is a plus Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions Capable of lifting, carrying, bending, and working in trenches for extended periods Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus or willingness to obtain Reliable transportation to various job sites Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
