Job Description

CoolSys is hiring a Pipefitter Journeyman Refrigeration professional to install and service refrigeration piping systems for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. In this field-based role, you'll interpret blueprints, layout and install piping, perform brazing and welding, pressure test systems, and support start-up and commissioning. You'll work within a safety-first, team-driven culture focused on technical excellence and reliable service, with access to advanced HVAC-R technologies, ongoing training, and clear paths for career advancement nationwide. Responsibilities Install and assemble refrigeration and process piping systems for commercial and industrial projects Interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping drawings to plan and layout installations Perform brazing, welding, and pipe fitting to industry and company quality standards Conduct pressure tests, leak checks, and system verification for safe, code-compliant operation Work closely with HVAC-R technicians and project teams during start-up and commissioning Follow all Cool Sys and OSHA safety procedures, including PPE and jobsite protocols Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe working condition Document work performed, materials used, and report issues or variances to supervisors Support troubleshooting of piping-related issues on existing refrigeration systems Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications to enhance skills Required Skills Refrigeration pipefitting HVAC-R system installation Brazing and welding Reading blueprints and P&IDs Industrial piping layout and fabrication Pressure testing and leak detection Refrigerant handling and charging Use of hand and power tools Safety and OSHA compliance Basic electrical and controls familiarity
