Position:
Pipe Layer Role:
Employee will be responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Employee will work the majority of the time laying pipe in a trench in a multitude of conditions. Will ensure ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipe placement. Pipe will be laid in the trenches by hand and where necessary with assistance from various machines. Aligns pipes and seals joints together with cement or glue. Employee will be checking the grade and specification relative to the plans and assuring quality workmanship of the installation. The employee may from time to time shovel gravel or dirt in the process of installation. Employee may also be required to operate equipment such as a backhoe, loader or excavator in safe manor.
