A Pipe Fitter installs and repairs pipe systems in commercial or industrial and manufacturing structures, such as pipes for heating and cooling systems. Works on pipes that carry gas, sprinkler systems, or pipes that carry steam under pressure.

Fire sprinkler foreman is responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, and industrial buildings. They manage specific installation projects assigned to them by the Fire Sprinkler Manager. Foremen oversee the technicians, installation fitters, and assistants working at the site. They ensure the entire installation process is done flawlessly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Fire sprinkler foremen use project drawings to interpret installation requirement details accurately and entirely. Delegate appropriate tasks to fitters, mechanics and assistants as needed to fulfill project completion deadlines, meet scheduling requirements, and exceed the goals established by the fire sprinkler manager. Install and test installation of fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit construction projects Be responsible for materials delivered to site and for minor fabrication on job site. In charge of updating daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings. Instruct and train helpers, apprentices, or other personnel in the basic process or service, repair, and/or system installation Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification:
Working knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes. Must have 3 plus years of experience in Commercial fire sprinkler systems, Installing, and testing of fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit construction projects Must hold valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record to be approved to drive company vehicle. Requires the ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work. Requires the ability to act in a lead capacity. Requires the ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs.
