60-65 hours per week Job Summary We are seeking experienced Commissioning Pipefitters to support large-scale industrial construction and mechanical piping projects in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on pipefitting experience and be capable of preparing, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning piping systems in accordance with engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and project requirements. Responsibilities Perform commissioning activities for industrial piping and mechanical systems. Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, schematics, specifications, and piping layouts . Install, assemble, modify, and prepare piping systems for testing and commissioning. Set up and operate temporary pumps, filtration equipment, hoses, and other temporary piping systems used during commissioning. Measure, cut, bend, fit, and assemble pipe using appropriate techniques for steel, aluminum, copper, and other piping materials. Install and verify piping components, fittings, supports, valves, and related mechanical systems. Perform pressure testing, leak checks, system flushing, blowdowns, and other commissioning activities . Assist with system startup, shutdown, and functional testing activities. Verify piping systems are installed and operating in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Identify and troubleshoot leaks, misalignments, installation deficiencies, and system performance issues. Make necessary adjustments, repairs, and modifications identified during testing and commissioning. Verify pipe sizes, materials, routing, elevations, connections, and installation requirements. Document testing results, system deficiencies, punch-list items, and commissioning progress. Assist with system turnover and ensure identified deficiencies are addressed prior to completion. Coordinate with supervision, project management, engineering, and other trades during commissioning activities. Follow all applicable safety requirements, site procedures, and industry standards. Participate in pre-task planning, safety meetings, and coordination activities to maintain safe and productive work areas. Qualifications 4 years of commercial or industrial pipefitting experience or equivalent field experience. Experience with piping system testing, troubleshooting, startup, or commissioning . Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, engineering drawings, and specifications . Experience installing, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting industrial piping systems. Proficient with pipe measurement, layout, cutting, bending, fitting, and assembly. Ability to identify leaks, misalignments, installation deficiencies, and other piping issues. Ability to perform pressure testing, flushing, blowdowns, and related commissioning activities. Ability to work extended schedules of 60-65 hours per week . OSHA 10 preferred/required. Ability to safely work around and coordinate with multiple construction trades.
