60-65 hours per week Job Summary We are seeking experienced Pipefitters to support large-scale industrial construction and mechanical piping projects in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will be highly hands-on and capable of installing, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting piping systems from engineering drawings, P&IDs, and project specifications. Responsibilities Install, set up, and operate temporary pumps, filtration equipment, and other piping-related systems according to drawings and project requirements. Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, schematics, specifications, and piping layouts . Install piping systems and connect pipe using appropriate joining methods, including welding, brazing, soldering, and threaded connections. Measure, cut, bend, fit, and assemble pipe using appropriate techniques for materials including steel, aluminum, and copper. Verify pipe sizes, materials, routing, elevations, and installation requirements against engineering drawings and specifications. Install and assemble piping components, supports, fittings, and related mechanical systems. Perform leak checks, pressure testing, system blowdowns, and other required commissioning activities. Assist with system startup and shutdown activities and verify piping systems are operating as designed. Identify and troubleshoot leaks, misalignments, installation deficiencies, and operational issues and complete necessary adjustments or repairs. Record testing results, identify punch-list items, and communicate system status and deficiencies to supervision. Follow all applicable safety requirements, site procedures, and industry standards. Participate in pre-task planning, safety meetings, and coordination with other trades to maintain safe and productive work areas. Qualifications 4+ years of commercial or industrial pipefitting experience or equivalent field experience. Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, engineering drawings, and specifications . Experience installing and assembling industrial piping systems. Proficient with pipe measurement, layout, cutting, bending, fitting, and assembly. Experience troubleshooting piping systems and identifying leaks, misalignments, and installation issues. Ability to work extended schedules of 60-65 hours per week . OSHA 10 preferred/required. Ability to safely work around and coordinate with other construction trades. Work Environment Large-scale industrial construction environment. Extended workweeks of approximately 60-65 hours . Must be comfortable working in active construction areas and coordinating with multiple trades. Candidates must be able to perform physical pipefitting work for extended periods and safely handle the demands of industrial construction.
