The Service Projects Tech II installs and/or retrofits new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (duct and equipment) in commercial and/or industrial settings, reads and interprets blueprints and specifications, and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties:
Installs and performs retrofits of HVAC systems with intermediate knowledge of piping and/or sheet metal tradecrafts. Types of equipment worked on will include split systems, mini split systems, VRF multizone systems, RTUS, WSHP, self-contained systems, CRAC units, air cooled chillers, cooling towers, airside equipment, AHUs and exhaust fans of all types. Demonstrates proficiency in operating a wide range of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring/testing equipment. Completes quoted projects with high quality while maintaining profitability. Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction. Performs sub-contractor management on quoted projects. Participates in after-hours quoted projects (as needed) per customer requirements. Safely operates motor vehicles and trailers as evidenced by past driving performance record. Meets requirements of fleet safety and driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements. Purchases parts, materials, and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers and sub-contractors. Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle. Able to work effectively with app based software
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. Two-year technical degree in related field is preferred. Must possess EPA Certification as required by the position. Minimum experience preferred of the position 1-3 years Required installation knowledge - on tradtional DX split systems and RTU equipment. Proficient in soldering/brazing, sheet metal and piping installation. Intermediate skills in controls troubleshooting, wiring diagram interpretations, and parallel/series circuit design. Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation Ability to read basic schematics, blueprint comprehension and code compliance. Must be able to use app-based technology effectively Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capability. Demonstrates strong business ethics at all times.
