Fire Sprinkler Pipe Fitter Battalion Fire Protection Georgetown, TX Job Details Full-time $20 - $35 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Safety protocol adherence Equipment repair Customer service Fire sprinkler fitting Fire suppression plumbing systems Driver's License Mechanical fittings Pipe cutting NFPA standards Fire safety protocols Full Job Description Battalion Fire Protection, LLC Central Texas / Greater Austin Area Battalion Fire Protection is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Pipe Fitter to work with our team on commercial fire sprinkler projects throughout Central Texas. We are looking for someone who already has experience in the fire sprinkler trade, takes pride in their work, communicates well, and can be counted on when scheduled for a project. Responsibilities Install, repair, and modify commercial fire sprinkler systems Measure, cut, thread, groove, and install sprinkler pipe Install sprinkler heads, fittings, valves, hangers, and related components Perform tenant improvement work, including adding and relocating sprinkler heads Assist with new construction, remodels, and existing system modifications Read and work from fire sprinkler plans and drawings Identify installation issues and communicate them to the project lead/RME Maintain a clean and safe jobsite Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials Complete assigned work efficiently and to Battalion Fire Protection's quality standards Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and other trades onsite Qualifications Previous fire sprinkler pipe fitting experience required/preferred Knowledge of grooved, threaded, and other common fire sprinkler piping systems Ability to measure, cut, thread, groove, and fit pipe Ability to read sprinkler plans and understand system layouts Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and active construction sites Able to perform the physical requirements of pipe-fitting work Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Dependable and able to arrive at scheduled jobsites on time Able to work independently and as part of a crew Must follow applicable jobsite safety requirements Schedule & Hours This is a project-based W-9 position , so the number of hours available may change depending on our workload. Most projects are scheduled Monday through Friday , but weekend work is sometimes required due to customer schedules, shutdowns, deadlines, or project requirements. Start times and daily schedules can also vary by job. Some projects may require early mornings or schedule changes. Applicants should understand that hours are not guaranteed and may fluctuate from week to week. Compensation Hourly/contract rate based on fire sprinkler experience and qualifications. This is a W-9 independent contractor position . The contractor is responsible for their own applicable taxes and withholdings.
