The Hydronic Pipefitter Superintendent oversees field operations for hydronic piping installation on commercial HVAC projects. This leadership role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The Superintendent supervises foremen, pipefitters, and subcontractors while coordinating with project management and other trades.Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage day-to-day activities of pipefitter crews and foremen across job sites Plan and schedule work, materials, and manpower to meet project deadlines Interpret blueprints, specifications, and submittals for hydronic piping systems Ensure all installations comply with mechanical codes, safety regulations, and project drawings Coordinate with other trades, vendors, inspectors, and general contractors Mentor and train foremen and pipefitting crews on best practices, safety, and technical skills Attend and lead field coordination and progress meetings Assist in resolving field issues and change orders in collaboration with the project team Provide daily and weekly reports on job progress, labor, materials, and issues to project managersQualifications:
10+ years of commercial hydronic pipefitting experience, with 3+ years in a leadership/superintendent role In-depth knowledge of hydronic HVAC systems Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced construction environment OSHA 30 certification preferred Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Proficient in basic computer use (emails, construction software, mobile apps) Valid driver's license and reliable transportationBenefits:
