Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer Pipe Layer to join our team specializing in underground utilities. This role involves working on various construction sites, focusing on the installation and maintenance of pipelines and utility systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong understanding of construction practices. Responsibilities Assist in the installation and maintenance of underground utility pipelines, including water, sewer, and storm drain. Possible Operation of heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to facilitate excavation and installation tasks. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate placement of pipes and utilities according to project specifications. Utilize pipe lasers for precise alignment of pipelines during installation. Conduct utility locating to identify existing lines before excavation begins. Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed on construction sites. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or issues to supervisors. Skills Proficient in operating heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and forklifts. Strong understanding of blueprint reading and construction site practices. Familiarity with utility locating techniques is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
