Archer Mechanical specializes in sustainable mechanical and plumbing systems, providing design-build, design-assist, new construction, additions, remodels, retrofits, service, and preventative maintenance. The organization has been established since 1987 and has continued to grow rapidly over the past 39 years. Archer Mechanical produces a higher-value product cost-effectively and efficiently using progressive construction planning technologies, advanced construction materials, and manufacturing methods, reducing safety risks, schedule durations, and congestion on the job site while enhancing the construction results. As a Pipefitter at Archer Mechanical, you will be responsible for the plan, lay-out and perform all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Responsibilities Blueprint Interpretation :
Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine the type, size, and layout of pipes needed.
Measurement & Cutting :
Accurately measure, cut, and bend pipes to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
System Installation :
Assemble and install piping systems, ensuring they are aligned and properly supported. Installing and working with PVC, Copper Pipe and Groove Pipe, and more Laying out, Cutting, Assembling and/or
Installing Pipe Equipment Installation:
Install related equipment such as valves, supports, hangers, and hydraulic systems.
System Testing :
Test installed systems for leaks and other potential issues using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.
Safety Compliance :
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Tool Maintenance :
Maintain and clean tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Collaboration :
Work closely with other tradespeople, such as plumbers, welders, and electricians, to ensure seamless project completion. Qualifications Previous Pipefitting experience Certifications or licenses are a plus Self-motivated with excellent time management, organization, and task management abilities. Proficient in clear and effective communication with various stakeholders, including general contractors, vendors, sub-trades, and in-house management. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs.
