Job Description:

We are seeking Pipelayersfor utility/roadway projects in the Richmond, VA area. SUMMARY Lays and joins pipe for sewers, water mains, and storm drains, including rigging pipe for hoisting, setting pipe to grade and affixing the pipe joint. Prepares and grades the trenches either manually or by communicating with the equipment operator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Align pipes in pipeline sections according to specifications. Dig trenches with trenching tools. Set pipes into trenches. Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of pipes. Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels. Covers pipe with dirt or other material. Assists others with hands-on work. Works in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

Expected base pay range for this positions is:$23/hr - $27/hr This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
