Vital Fuel Systems, Inc. (located in Apex, NC) is growing, and we're looking for experienced Journeyman Field Technician Pipefitters on the East Coast to join our team. We specialize in fuel oil systems for mission-critical facilities, including data centers and hospitals, and proudly serve some of the world's largest technology companies. What You'll Do:
Install fuel storage tanks, fuel systems, and industrial piping Perform hands-on mechanical work, including setting tanks, rigging, anchoring, and installing aboveground and underground piping Perform or assist with pipefitting and pipe welding (SMAW, TIG, MIG, or flux-core depending on experience) Cut, fit, and assemble piping systems, including valves, fittings, and supports Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and basic welding symbols Install and support low-voltage electrical and control systems, including wiring and basic controls Test systems (pressure, leak, and functionality) and troubleshoot or repair as needed Maintain tools and equipment and follow proper safety practices at all times Document work performed, including basic reports and as-built information Support projects from installation through startup and commissioning Work as part of a team to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule•
What You'll Bring :
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of construction experience (mechanical, electrical, fuel systems, or related field) Experience or exposure to pipe welding, pipe fitting, or low-voltage/controls work is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability Dependability and attention to detail Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to communicate in English Willingness to travel (25
