Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pipefitter Pipe Welder Helper to join our Pipefitter/ Welder team. In this role, you will assist experienced pipefitters and welders in installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various projects. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the importance of safety, precision, and teamwork. Duties Support pipefitters and welders in cutting, threading, fitting, and assembling pipes according to blueprints, schematics, and construction plans Assist with MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG welding, and pipe welding tasks under supervision Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment safely to prepare materials for installation Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate pipe installation and fabrication Perform basic math calculations for measurements and pipe dimensions Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety regulations and safety protocol adherence on construction sites Support rigging activities for lifting heavy pipes or equipment safely during installation or maintenance procedures Participate in safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with all safety regulations including OSHA standards Qualifications Prior experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities involving pipefitting or welding is preferred Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans is highly desirable Hands-on experience with MIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, or pipe welding techniques is a plus Knowledge of mechanical systems enhances your suitability for this role Ability to operate power tools safely including grinders, pipe threaders, calipers, and other hand tools Strong mechanical knowledge combined with good communication skills will help you excel in this energetic team environment Join us if you're ready to build a rewarding career supporting critical infrastructure projects!
