Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic construction/service team as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman and lead the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire sprinkler systems across diverse project sites. This energetic role offers the opportunity to oversee skilled tradespeople, ensure adherence to safety standards, and deliver high-quality fire protection solutions. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate activities, interpret technical drawings, and uphold rigorous safety protocols to safeguard both personnel and property. Duties Supervise and coordinate the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with project specifications and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide pipefitting, pipe welding, and system assembly. Perform or oversee welding tasks including
MIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG welding, and soldering to ensure secure pipe connections. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to fabricate and install piping systems accurately. Manage pipefitting activities such as tube bending, pipe welding, pipe installation, rigging, and fabrication while maintaining strict safety regulations. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations by enforcing safety protocol adherence on-site and conducting regular safety inspections. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and schematics for precise system assembly and troubleshooting. Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, inspections, safety checks, and compliance records throughout project duration. Experience Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on plumbing or fire protection systems installation. Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding; certification in these areas is a plus. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to fire sprinkler systems. Mechanical knowledge of piping systems including pipe threading, fabrication, assembly, and pipefitting practices. Familiarity with NFPA standards for fire sprinkler installation as well as ASME codes & standards for piping systems. Ability to operate power tools safely while adhering to power tool safety protocols; experience with calipers and other measuring tools is preferred. Construction experience involving HVAC or pipeline projects is advantageous. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise system installation. Demonstrated ability to read construction plans accurately and interpret schematics for complex piping layouts. Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely on construction sites.
