EXPERIENCED
PIPE LAYER / UNDERGROUND UTILITY CREW
West Bros Contractors is a third-generation heavy civil contractor serving Eastern Washington and North Idaho. We specialize in underground utility installation, excavation, grading, roadwork, and commercial site development. We are looking for an experienced Pipe Layer to join our underground utility crew. This position is centered on pipe laying and underground utility installation, but our crews work closely together and everyone helps where needed to keep the job moving. We're looking for someone who knows underground work, understands grade, and can be counted on to pull their weight as part of the crew.
WHAT WE OFFER
$28-$38 per hour DOE Local work — be home at night 4/10 schedule 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision IRA with company match Paid time off
WHAT THE WORK INCLUDES
Water, sewer, and storm utility installation Reading and interpreting plans, grades, and elevations Working from layout and survey control points Operating a pipe laser and maintaining line and grade Working around excavation, grading, and site development operations Helping keep the job moving as part of a small underground utility crew
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Proven pipe laying or heavy civil construction experience Experience with water, storm, and sanitary sewer Ability to read and interpret construction plans Understanding of grade and slope requirements Hands-on pipe laser experience required Experience with Trimble GPS grade control or layout preferred Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work well with a crew
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to perform physical work outdoors in changing weather and jobsite conditions Able to lift materials, tools, and equipment as needed Comfortable walking uneven ground, climbing in and out of trenches, and working around active construction operations
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
