Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our small shop. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients. This position offers a great opportunity for someone who is a hard worker but doesn't want on-call rotation or a ton of overtime. At Proles Plumbing work/life balance is a top priority. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances in accordance with local codes and safety standards Troubleshoot plumbing issues by diagnosing problems accurately and implementing effective solutions promptly Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precise installation and repairs Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate work schedules and ensure project milestones are met Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues before they escalate Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for compliance purposes Adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site Experience Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a valid license or certification issued by the relevant authority Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices in installation and repair processes Ability to read technical drawings and schematics with confidence Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and clients Join us if you're passionate about plumbing and would like more of that small town plumbing shop feel.
