Job Description

The Maintenance II position performs a variety of work activities that support the District operations, maintenance, and construction activities. In order to achieve step 5 of this classification, incumbent must obtain a Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement. Examples of the essential duties of this position are: Maintaining the District Main Canal, canal laterals, and patrol roads; isolating systems and recording information the District computer systems; maintaining the piping and valves within any District system; replacing turnout gates and other water diversion components; installing and repairing underground piping of all sizes. There are two alternative qualifications for this position: 1)
CDL Option:
Class-A CDL with Tanker Endorsement; or 2) Three years progressive experience in Operations, Maintenance, Landscaping and Construction at KID or five years of related experience.
Additional minimum qualifications include:
