Job Overview What You'll Do We need a Civil Utility Foreman to lead a crew installing and maintaining underground utilities—water, sewer, storm drains, and dry lines. You'll keep the job on schedule, safe, and up to spec.
Day-to-Day Lead the crew:
Manage 4-10 team members—operators, laborers, pipelayers. Keep everyone on task.
Build it right:
Read plans, set grades, lay pipe, test systems, backfill, and get sign-off from inspectors.
Keep it safe:
Run daily safety huddles, enforce PPE, and make sure trenches are shored or sloped.
Run equipment:
Operate excavators, backhoes, or skid steers as needed. Keep daily logs.
Stay on schedule:
Coordinate with project managers, subs, and inspectors to avoid delays.
Handle paperwork:
Fill out daily reports, timecards, and material tracking—quick and simple.
Your truck:
Take the company vehicle home. Fuel card included. Use it for jobs or call-outs.
What You Need Experience:
5+ years in utility installation or leading crews on civil projects.
Comfortable with pipe lasers, grade lasers, or GPS grading. Know local codes, AWWA standards, and how to read utility locates.
Physical:
