The position consists of installation, service, and repairs of various fire sprinkler systems, with opportunity for growth.
Necessary qualifications:
Proficiency in NFPA 25 and
NFPA 13/13R
- Required Washington Fitter Card
- Highly Preferred Professional, organized, and reliable is a must Have great communication skills Self-starter who is able to work independently and in a team environment Knowledge in Wet and Dry Fire Sprinkler systems
- Required Have at least 3-5 years of experience in installation of fire sprinkler systems
- Required Travel
- Required Responsibilities for this position consist of the following: Specialize in the repair and installation of sprinkler systems that help prevent the spread of fires in residential and commercial buildings Responsible for installing all types of fire-protecting systems, including pipe systems and valves.
Cut, thread, assemble, and bond pipes and tubes according to equipment specifications. Responsible to make sure all fire-protecting systems are working well and pass every fire inspection. In all tasks, follow relevant safety regulations, including those related to wearing safety equipment. Read and understand drawings and blueprints Test of piping systems for leaks and read gauges Secure pipes to structures with clamps and brackets using hand tools Cut and thread pipe. Plan sequence of installation Generally, report to the project foreman on site or whoever the foreman has designated; most times, however, the fitter must be able to work on their own with minimal supervision.
