Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various projects, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and industry codes. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine pipe layout and specifications. Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join pipes securely according to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards. Fabricate pipe components and fittings as needed for installation or repair projects. Install fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, plumbing fixtures, and pipeline networks following NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards. Conduct pipe threading, soldering, tube bending, and rigging tasks with precision to ensure proper fit and function. Adhere strictly to safety regulations and protocols such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines; operate power tools safely; maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members on construction site activities including assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of piping systems. Use calipers, basic math skills, and schematics to ensure accurate measurements and alignment during installation. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and safety checks conducted throughout each project phase. Requirements Proven experience in pipefitting within construction or manufacturing environments; familiarity with industrial piping systems preferred. Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick welding, and TIG; certification is a plus. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Mechanical knowledge of pipe installation procedures such as threading, soldering, tube bending, and pipe welding. Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, pipe wrenches, cutters, threaders; comfortable operating power tools safely. Knowledge of NFPA standards related to fire sprinkler fitting and safety protocol adherence. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise installation or repair work. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety regulations; understanding of OSHA requirements is essential. Description:

Pipefitters are needed in this area for multiple large-scale projects. Interested candidates should attach a resume showing a minimum of 5 years of pipefitting experience in the field. Applicants will be screened and evaluated at current area standards for steamfitter apprenticeship completion. Any unsatisfactory scores may result in training contract at lesser amount until applicant is able to pass all evaluations. Seasoned pipefitters will have no issues.

Education:

Must have equivalent of high school graduation. Must have completed an apprenticeship program approved by the Department of Workforce Development as a steamfitter or have formal recognition of journeyman status by the appropriate international or local trade union. Must have a minimum of three (5) years of experience.

Wages:

$63/hr for journeyman level pipefitters. Full benefit package includes health insurance, retirement funds, pension, and continuing education.

•Wages and benefits are fully guaranteed through area collective bargaining contracts and yearly increases should be expected.

Qualifications:

5+ years of pipefitting experience. Ability to independently operate pipe threaders and groovers. OSHA and/or MSHA. Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills. Knowledge of layout, fit-up, fabrication, and installation of pipe, flanges, and valves. Read and interpret blueprints and P&ID's. Knowledge of hydronic and steam heating systems and components. Must be physically and medically capable of wearing all required PPE required as prescribed under OSHA and/or MSHA.

Responsibilities may include:

Layout, fabricate, and install pipe spools. Flame cut or mechanically cut pipe to length and bevel, clean and prepare pipe for fit-up. Performs layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves, and fittings. Threads pipe using threading machine. Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers. Properly select and use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks. Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane. Use proper hand signals with heavy equipment operators. Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment, and supplies. Properly test piping systems for leaks by the correct use of hydro-testing equipment. Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools. Help maintain a safe and clean work environment. Work at elevations above 4 feet.

$63.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 84.0 per week
