Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for utility installation. Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and utility layouts to accurately position pipelines and underground utilities. Install pipelines using pipe lasers for precise alignment and welding techniques for secure connections. Perform concrete finishing tasks related to utility structures, including forming and pouring concrete where necessary. Conduct utility locating using specialized equipment to identify existing underground lines before excavation begins. Utilize construction tools such as forklifts, pipe lasers, and heavy machinery to ensure efficient project progress. Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites involving oil & gas, plumbing, or pipeline projects. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks in construction or utility settings. Skilled in pipe laser alignment, concrete finishing, and concrete forming techniques. Knowledge of utility locating methods and safety standards specific to underground pipeline installation. Familiarity with construction site procedures related to oil & gas pipelines or municipal utilities is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
