In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex steam and piping systems across various construction and manufacturing sites. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient operation of steam systems, including pipefitting, fabrication, and system troubleshooting. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and maintain steam piping systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute precise pipefitting and fabrication tasks. Perform welding using various techniques such as MIG, FCAW, Stick, TIG, and Soldering to join pipes securely while adhering to ASME codes & standards. Use hand tools and power tools safely for pipe threading, tube bending, pipe installation, and system assembly. Conduct routine inspections of steam systems to identify leaks or malfunctions; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Follow all safety regulations including NFPA standards for fire sprinkler fitting and pipeline safety protocols during installation and maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members on construction plans involving HVAC systems, sprinkler systems, or other mechanical components requiring pipefitting expertise. Skills Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, and soldering with a strong focus on safety compliance. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints accurately. Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, HVAC components, fire sprinkler fitting, and plumbing essentials. Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers for precise measurements; power tools for cutting, grinding, or assembly tasks. Experience with pipe threading machines and tube bending equipment for custom fabrication needs. Strong understanding of NFPA standards related to fire suppression systems; adherence to safety regulations at all times. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards governing pipeline fabrication and installation practices. Capable of interpreting technical schematics; familiar with construction site experience including rigging and assembly processes. Basic math skills for measurements; familiarity with manufacturing or construction environments involving complex piping installations.
