Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marine Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. Your expertise in welding, pipefitting, and mechanical systems will be crucial in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and compliance of all piping operations. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to marine piping systems Perform welding operations including MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and pipe welding in accordance with ASME codes & standards and NFPA standards Fabricate and assemble piping components using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, calipers, and tube bending equipment Install and maintain fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, plumbing systems, and pipeline networks on marine vessels or offshore structures Conduct pipefitting tasks such as pipe installation, rigging, pipe threading, soldering, and pipe bending with precision Ensure compliance with safety regulations by adhering to safety protocol guidelines during all fabrication and installation activities Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately to execute construction plans effectively Maintain detailed records of work performed including shift reports, incident logs, and inspection checklists Support maintenance activities by troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing routine inspections on piping systems Experience Proven experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments specializing in pipefitting or plumbing within the marine industry Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG, and pipe welding according to industry standards Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings specific to marine piping systems Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to pipe fabrication and installation on ships or offshore platforms Hands-on experience with power tools such as grinders, cutters, threading machines, calipers, and tube benders Knowledge of safety regulations including NFPA standards for fire protection systems and OSHA safety protocols Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, sprinkler fitting procedures, pipeline assembly, and general construction practices Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately Construction site experience involving rigging operations and working within strict safety environments $28 per hour plus $120 per day per diem Join our team if you're ready to bring your expertise in marine pipefitting to challenging projects that demand precision craftsmanship.
