Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing piping systems, sprinkler systems, and structural components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques combined with mechanical knowledge will ensure the successful completion of projects on time and to specification. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance projects, contributing to vital infrastructure and safety systems. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick, and TIG welding to fabricate and repair metal components according to detailed blueprints and schematics Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and schematics accurately to guide fabrication and installation processes Fit, assemble, and install piping systems including pipe threading, pipe welding, soldering, tube bending, and pipefitting in accordance with ASME codes & standards and NFPA standards for fire sprinkler systems Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement devices to ensure precise fabrication and assembly of parts Conduct pipe threading, pipe installation, rigging, and assembly tasks on construction sites or manufacturing floors while adhering to safety regulations Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocol adherence including power tool safety practices Assist in maintenance activities such as system inspections, repairs, or upgrades of HVAC or pipeline systems as needed Experience Proven experience in welding (MIG, FCAW, Stick, TIG) within construction or manufacturing environments Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans Hands-on experience with pipe threading, pipe welding (including pipe welding standards), soldering, tube bending, and pipefitting techniques Familiarity with safety regulations related to welding operations and construction site safety protocols Mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems, sprinkler systems installation (fire protection), HVAC components, and general fabrication processes Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship Prior experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities with a focus on pipeline installation or maintenance tasks Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication and installation processes Join us in building essential infrastructure!
